Introduction

MEZO MANGA is a manga reader app for Android. Your privacy matters to us, and this page explains plainly what data the app handles and how.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any data about you. The app has no servers of ours, contains no ads, analytics or usage tracking, and never sells or shares any data with third parties.

• Your library and reading history: stored locally on your device only.
• Your settings: stored locally on your device only.
• Reading statistics (daily activity, streaks, most read): calculated on your device from your reading history, and never leave it.

Google Drive

Google Account Linking & Google Drive Backup

If you choose to connect a Google account (entirely optional):

• Sign-in happens through Google's official secure OAuth system; the app never sees your password.
• The app requests the narrowest possible scope (drive.file): it can only see and manage files it created itself inside the "MEZO MANGA Backups" folder of your Google Drive, and nothing else in your account.
• Your backups are stored in your own Google Drive; we have no access to them.
• If you turn on automatic upload, the app uploads a new backup to the same folder from time to time.
• Your email address is shown inside the app only so you know which account is connected, and is stored locally on your device.
• Choosing "Disconnect Google account" revokes the app's access with Google and clears the linking data from your device.

Reading Trackers (Optional)

You can connect the app to reading trackers such as AniList, MyAnimeList, Kitsu, MangaUpdates, Shikimori and Bangumi, or to a server you run yourself such as Komga, Kavita or Suwayomi. The app contacts none of these services unless you sign in to them yourself.

• When you link a series to a tracker, the app sends it directly: the series title, the last chapter you read, your reading status, and your score and start/finish dates if you add them.
• The sign-in token is stored on your device only, and none of this data passes through servers of ours.
• Your data with each tracker is covered by that service's own privacy policy, and you can sign out at any time from Settings → Tracking.

Content Sources

The app displays content from external sources chosen by the user. When browsing an external source you connect directly to that source's servers, and its own privacy policy applies.

When you open a site inside the app (for example, to pass a verification page), the site may store cookies on your device just as it would in any browser. You can clear them at any time from Settings → Advanced → Clear cookies.

Crash Logs

If the app stops unexpectedly, it can save a crash log on your device. The log is not sent anywhere unless you choose to share it yourself.

Google.

Deleting Your Data

• Uninstalling the app deletes all its local data.
• Drive backups are yours: delete them any time from the "MEZO MANGA Backups" folder in your account.
• You can revoke the app's Google access any time from the app settings or from your Google Account permissions page.
• To delete your data from a reading tracker, sign out of it in the app, then delete it from your account on that service's own site.
